ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The mission of the Department of Mathematics & Statistics is to discover new knowledge in mathematics and statistics; to explore the frontiers of the mathematical sciences with other disciplines; to train new generations of skilled graduates; to provide intellectual leadership in mathematics and statistics that is of direct benefit to the state of Utah; and to earn national and international respect for the quality of its scholarship and programs.
