About Professor Baker

[ Homepage ]
Michelle A. Baker received her B.S. in 1992 from Lafayette College, and her Ph.D. in 1998 from the University of New Mexico.  Her research and academic interests include biological and hydrological controls of aquatic ecosystem structure and function, stream ecology and biogeochemistry, stable isotopes in ecology and hydrology, and hydrologic landscapes  "A goal of my research is to understand how water movement within the landscape influences ecosystem structure and function. I use an interdisciplinary approach, involving tools from ecology, hydrology, and geochemistry to ask questions about how hydrologic linkages within watersheds influence energy and nutrient cycling."
