yo - I stop stopped will stop
tú - you stop stopped will stop
él/ella/ello - he/she/it stops stopped will stop
nosotros - we stop stopped will stop
ustedes - you stop stopped will stop
ellos/ellas - they stop stopped will stop

 

(3) EJEMPLOS DE USO DEL VERBO DEL DIA:

a. Afirma You stop what you are doing. Paras lo que estás haciendo.
b. Niega You do not stop what you are doing. No paras lo que estás haciendo.
c. Pregunta Do you stop what you are doing? ¿Paras lo que estás haciendo?
d. Afirma He stops his car at the intersection. El para su carro en el cruce.
e. Niega He does not stop his car at the intersection. El no para su carro en el cruce.
f. Pregunta Does he stop his car at the intersection? ¿Para él su carro en el cruce?
Auxiliar para afirmar = no se requiere: I stop , you stop , he stops , she stops , it stops , we stop , they stop
Auxiliar para negar = I do, You do, He does, She does, It does, We do, They do ... not stop
Auxiliar para preguntar = Do I, Do you, Does he, Does she, Does it, Do we, Do they ... stop?

 

(4) LA TAREA: llene los espacios en blanco:

(afirma) when the train is coming. El para cuando viene el tren.
(afirma) to watch the children play. Paro para observar a los niños jugar.
(afirma) running when they are tired. Ellos paran de correr cuando están cansados.
(afirma) him at the gate. Ustedes lo detienen a la puerta.
(afirma) Juan his girl friend from eating too much. Juan detiene a su novia de comer demasiado.
(niega) Maria and I talking. María y yo no paramos de hablar.
(niega) studying the English lessons. No paramos de estudiar las lecciones de inglés.
(niega) learning new things. El no para de aprender cosas nuevas.
(pregunta) studying English? ¿Paras tu de estudiar el inglés?
(pregunta) when the light is yellow? ¿Paran ellos cuando el semáforo es amarillo?
(pregunta) Gabriela working on the weekends? ¿Para Gabriela de trabajar los fines de semanas?

Do you stop your car at every stop sign? Yes, we stop at every stop sign.
¿Paras tu carro a cada letrero de parar? Si, paramos a cada letrero de parar.
 
Why do we stop when there is no other car coming. We stop because that is the law.
¿Por qué paramos cuando no viene otro carro? Paramos porque es la ley.
 
We also stop because there may be a car coming that we do not see.
También paramos porque puede ser que venga otro carro que no veamos.
 
Does Alberto stop at every stop sign? No, he does not stop every time but he stops most of the time. If he does not stop he will get a ticket.
¿Para Alberto a cada letrero de parar. No, él no para siempre pero sí para la mayoría de las veces. Si él no para recibirá una multa.
