COMPUTER ASSISTED LITERACY FOR NON ENGLISH SPEAKERS

(1) TEMA DEL DIA: Mariscos

(2) EL VERBO DEL DIA: to speak = hablar (tiempo presente)

Conjugación del verbo del día: Presente Pasado Futuro
yo - I speak spoke will speak
tú - you speak spoke will speak
él/ella/ello - he/she/it speaks spoke will speak
nosotros - we speak spoke will speak
ustedes - you speak spoke will speak
ellos/ellas - they speak spoke will speak

 

(3) EJEMPLOS DE USO DEL VERBO DEL DIA:

a. Afirma You speak to your friend. Hablas a tu amigo.
b. Niega You do not speak to your friend. No hablas a tu amigo.
c. Pregunta Do you speak to your friend? ¿Hablas a tu amigo?
d. Afirma He speaks English very well. El habla inglés muy bien.
e. Niega He does not speak English very well. El no habla inglés mu bien.
f. Pregunta Does he speak English very well? ¿Habla él inglés muy bien?
Auxiliar para afirmar = no se requiere: I speak, you speak, he, she, it speaks, we speak, they speak
Auxiliar para negar = I do, You do, He does, She does, It does, We do, They do ... not speak
Auxiliar para preguntar = Do I, Do you, Does he, Does she, Does it, Do we, Do they ... speak?

 

(4) LA TAREA: llene los espacios en blanco:

(afirma) both English and Spanish. El habla ambos inglés y español.
(afirma) with her whenever I can. Yo hablo con ella cuando puedo.
(afirma) about their grand children often. Ellos hablan de sus nietos a menudo.
(afirma) to the teacher every class. Ustedes hablan al profesor cada clase.
(afirma) Juan to his girl friend by telephone. Juan habla a su novia por teléfono.
(niega) Maria and I loudly. María y yo no hablamos fuerte.
(niega) to the children. No hablamos a los niños.
(niega) English. El no habla inglés.
(pregunta) to the students? ¿Les habla él a los estudiantes?
(pregunta) often with their friends in Mexico? ¿Hablan ellos a menudo con sus amigos en México?
(pregunta) Gabriela to her sister? ¿Le habla Gabriela a su hermana?

Do you speak to the other students? Yes, I speak to them before and after the class.
¿Hablas a los otros estudiantes? Sí, les hablo antes y después de la clase.
 
Does the teacher speak clearly when he is teaching the class? Yes, he speaks very clearly. We can understand him when he speaks.
¿Habla el profesor claramente cuando él está enseñando la clase? Sí, él habla muy claramente. Lo podemos entender cuando habla.
 
Do the other students speak to you?
¿Te hablan a ti los otros estudiantes?
 
No, they don’t speak to me unless I speak to them.
No, no me hablan a menos que les hable yo a ellos.
