COMPUTER ASSISTED LITERACY FOR NON ENGLISH SPEAKERS

(2) EL VERBO DEL DIA: to know = conocer/saber (tiempo presente )

Conjugación del verbo del día: Presente Pasado Futuro
yo - I know knew will know
tú - you know knew will know
él/ella/ello - he/she/it knows knew will know
nosotros - we know knew will know
ustedes - you know knew will know
ellos/ellas - they know knew will know

 

(3) EJEMPLOS DE USO DEL VERBO DEL DIA:

a. Afirma You know the children. Conoces a los niños.
b. Niega You do not know the children. No conoces a los niños.
c. Pregunta Do you know the children? ¿Conoces a los niños?
d. Afirma She knows where it (the book) is. Ella sabe donde está (el libro).
e. Niega She does not know where it (the book) is. Ella no sabe donde está (el libro).
f. Pregunta Does she know where it (the book) is? ¿Sabe ella donde está (el libro)?
Auxiliar para afirmar = no se requiere: I know , you know , he knows , she knows , it knows , we know , they know
Auxiliar para negar = I do, You do, He does, She does, It does, We do, They do ... not know
Auxiliar para preguntar = Do I, Do you, Does he, Does she, Does it, Do we, Do they ... know?

 

(4) LA TAREA: llene los espacios en blanco:

(afirma) your family. El conoce a tu familia.
(afirma) Maria’s home. Yo conozco la casa de María.
(afirma) Dr. Anderson. Ellos conocen al doctor Anderson.
(afirma) Mexico City. Ustedes conocen la Ciudad de México.
(afirma) Juan the classroom. Juan conoce el salón de clases.
(niega) Maria and I your friend. María y yo no conocemos a tu amiga.
(niega) the English class. No sabemos la clase de inglés.
(niega) the English class. El no sabe la clase de inglés.
(pregunta) the English class? ¿Sabe él la clase de inglés?
(pregunta) the English class? ¿Ellos conocen la clase de inglés?
(pregunta) Gabriela the English class? ¿Conoce Gabriela la clase de inglés?

Do you know me? Yes, I know you.
¿Me conoces? Sí, te conozco.
 
Do you know where the class is? No, I don’t know where the class is.
¿Sabes dónde es la clase? No, no sé dónde es la clase.
 
I know you and they go to the class together. Take a moment please to tell me what you know about the class.
Yo sé que tu y ellos van a la clase juntos. Toma un momento por favor para decirme qué es lo que sabes sobre la clase.
 
We know that it is an English class and it meets on Mondays and Wednesdays. Do you know how to speak English well? No, we don’t know how to speak it well. Do you know if we can go to the class? Yes, I know you can go.
Sabemos que es una clase de inglés y que se reúne los lunes y miércoles. ¿Saben ustedes hablar el inglés bien? No, no sabemos hablarlo bien. ¿Sabes si podemos ir a la clase? Sí, sé que ustedes pueden ir.
