(2) EL VERBO DEL DIA: to follow = seguir (tiempo presente)

Conjugación del verbo del día: Presente Pasado Futuro
yo - I follow followed will follow
tú - you follow followed will follow
él/ella/ello - he/she/it follows followed will follow
nosotros - we follow followed will follow
ustedes - you follow followed will follow
ellos/ellas - they follow followed will follow

 

(3) EJEMPLOS DE USO DEL VERBO DEL DIA:

a. Afirma You follow Juan. Sigues a Juan.
b. Niega You do not follow Juan. No sigues a Juan.
c. Pregunta Do you follow Juan? ¿Sigues a Juan?
d. Afirma He follows it (the path). El lo sigue (el sendero).
e. Niega He does not follow it (the path). El no lo sigue (el sendero).
f. Pregunta Does he follow it (the path)? ¿Lo sigue él (el sendero)?
Auxiliar para afirmar = no se requiere: I, you, he, she, it, we, they ... follow
Auxiliar para negar = I did, You did, He did, She did, It did, We did, They did ... not follow
Auxiliar para preguntar = Did I, Did you, Did he, Did she, Did it, Did we, Did they ... follow?

 

(4) LA TAREA: llene los espacios en blanco:

(afirma) his girl friend. El siguió a su novia.
(afirma) my friend. Yo seguí a mi amigo.
(afirma) the teacher. Ellos siguieron al profesor.
(afirma) the teacher. Ustedes siguieron al profesor.
(afirma) Juan Gloria to the store. Juan siguió a Gloria a la tienda.
(niega) Maria and I the others. María y yo no seguimos a los otros.
(niega) the others. No seguimos a los demás.
(niega) his brother. El no siguió a su hermano.
(pregunta) the other boys? ¿Siguió él a los otros chicos?
(pregunta) the girls? ¿Siguieron ellos a las chicas?
(pregunta) Gabriela her friends? ¿Siguió Gabriela a sus amigas?

Did you follow my instructions? Yes, I followed your instructions and it made me late.
¿Seguiste mis instrucciones? Sí, seguí tus instrucciones y me hizo tarde.
 
Fernando followed the instructions and he arrived early. Did he follow them exactly or did he follow a map also?
Fernando siguió las instrucciones y él llegó temprano. ¿Las siguió exactamente o siguió un mapa también?
 
He also followed a map. Then following the instructions made you late? Yes, the instructions did not follow the map.
También siguió un mapa. ¿Entonces seguir las instrucciones te hizo tarde? Sí, las instrucciones no siguieron el mapa.
 
Elias and Benigno followed the instructions and they did not follow a map and they arrived on time. That’s because they followed Fernando.
Elias y Benigno siguieron las instrucciones y no siguieron un mapa y llegaron a tiempo. Eso es porque siguieron a Fernando.
