COMPUTER ASSISTED LITERACY FOR NON ENGLISH SPEAKERS

(2) EL VERBO DEL DIA: to take = tomar/llevar (tiempo pasado )

Conjugación del verbo del día: Presente Pasado Futuro
yo - I take took will take
tú - you take took will take
él/ella/ello - he/she/it takes took will take
nosotros - we take took will take
ustedes - you take took will take
ellos/ellas - they take took will take

 

(3) EJEMPLOS DE USO DEL VERBO DEL DIA:

a. Afirma You took the children to school. Llevaste a los niños a la escuela.
b. Niega You did not take the children to school. No llevaste a los niños a la escuela.
c. Pregunta Did you take the children to school? ¿Llevaste a los niños a la escuela?
d. Afirma She took the children to school. Llevó ella a los niños a la escuela.
e. Niega She did not take the children to school. Ella no llevó a los niños a la escuela.
f. Pregunta Did she take the children to school? ¿Llevó ella a los niños a la escuela?
Auxiliar para afirmar = no se requiere: I, you, he, she, it, we, you, they ... took
Auxiliar para negar = I did, You did, He did, She did, It did, We did, They did ... not take
Auxiliar para preguntar = Did I, Did you, Did he, Did she, Did it, Did we, Did they ... take?

 

(4) LA TAREA: llene los espacios en blanco:

(afirma) the book from the table. El tomó el libro de la mesa.
(afirma) the English class. Yo tomé la clase de inglés.
(afirma) the bus to work. Ellos tomaron el bus a su trabajo.
(afirma) the groceries home. Ustedes llevaron las comestibles a casa.
(afirma) Juan five classes in school. Juan tomó cinco clases en la escuela.
(niega) Maria and I medicine. María y yo no tomamos medicina.
(niega) an English class. No tomamos una clase de inglés.
(niega) an English class. El no tomó una clase de inglés.
(pregunta) an English class? ¿Tomaste una clase de inglés?
(pregunta) an English class? ¿Ellos tomaron una clase de inglés?
(pregunta) Gabriela an English class? ¿Tomó Gabriela una clase de ingés?

I took a chance and asked the question in English. Very good! Did you take advantage of every opportunity to speak English?
Tomé un riesgo e hice la pregunta en inglés. Muy bien! ¿Tomaste ventaja de todas las oportunidades para hablar inglés?
 
Yes, I took every opportunity to speak it.
Sí, tomé ventaja de todas oportunidades para hablarlo.
 
I just said that I took an English class and I want to practice it.
Sólo dije que tomaba yo una clase de inglés y que quería practicarlo.
 
Everyone took me by the hand and helped me. If I took a moment to think of a word they always tried to guess the word I was searching for.
Todo el mundo me tomaba por la mano y me ayudaba. Si tomé un momento para pensar en una palabra que ellos siempre trataban de adivinar la palabra que yo estaba buscando.
