(2) EL VERBO DEL DIA: to want = querer (tiempo presente)   Listen to the verb conjugation (WMA)

Conjugación del verbo del día: Presente Pasado Futuro
yo - I want wanted will want
tú - you want wanted will want
él/ella/ello - he/she/it wants wanted will want
nosotros - we want wanted will want
ustedes - you want wanted will want
ellos/ellas - they want wanted will want

 

(3) EJEMPLOS DE USO DEL VERBO DEL DIA:   Listen to the examples (WMA)

a. Afirma You want something. Quieres algo.
b. Niega You do not want anything. No quieres nada.
c. Pregunta Do you want something? ¿Quieres algo?
d. Afirma She wants to go. Ella quiere ir.
e. Niega She does not want to go. Ella no quiere ir.
f. Pregunta Does she want to go? ¿Quiere ella ir?
Auxiliar para afirmar = no se requiere: I want, you want, he wants, she wants, it wants, we want, they want
Auxiliar para negar = I do, You do, He does, She does, It does, We do, They do ... not want
Auxiliar para preguntar = Do I, Do you, Does he, Does she, Does it, Do we, Do they ... want?

 

(4) LA TAREA: llene los espacios en blanco:   Listen to the answers (WMA)

(afirma) something. El quiere algo.
(afirma) something. Yo quiero algo.
(afirma) something. Ellos quieren algo.
(afirma) something. Ustedes quieren algo.
(afirma) Juan something. Juan quiere algo.
(niega) Maria and I anything. María y yo no queremos nada.
(niega) anything. No queremos nada.
(niega) anything. El no quiere nada.
(pregunta) something? ¿Quieren ellos algo?
(pregunta) something? ¿Quiere él algo?
(pregunta) Gabriela something? ¿Quiere Gabriela algo?

 

(5)   Listen to the sentences (WMA)

What do you want? I want to go to the party. Juan wants to go too. Do you want to go? No, I don’t want to go today.
¿Que quieres? Quiero ir a la fiesta. Juan quiere ir también. ¿Quieres ir? No, no quiero ir hoy.
 
We want to eat some Mexican food. What kind do you want? We want typical food.
Queremos comer comida mexicana. ¿Que tipo quieren ustedes? Queremos comida típica.
 
They want to learn English. Do you want to learn English? Yes, I want to learn English very much.
¿Ellos quieren aprender inglés?¿Quieres aprender inglés? Sí, quiero aprender inglés.
 
How do you want the classes? Do you want to do the same thing every class? No, we want to do different things.
¿Cómo quieren ustedes las clases? ¿Quieren ustedes hacer las mismas cosas cada día? No, queremos hacer diferentes cosas.
