OER WRD - Western Rural Development, Spring 2006
The Western Rural Development Center (Utah State University) and the RUPRI Rural Poverty Research Center (Oregon State University) co-sponsored a one and a half day poverty conference. Agenda topics included framing poverty in the west; poverty and tribal communities; networks and policy; natural resource dependent communities and poverty; and Latinos and poverty. Researchers presented papers and speakers and attendees alike participated in important discussions that will help develop community and state/national policies on reducing rural poverty.
