  1. Review pronunciations and characters learned from Lesson 3.
  2. Read notes on page 31.
  3. Listen to Lesson 4 audio tape and practice pronunciations on pages 31 and 32.
  4. Please click on “Writing” to learn how to write characters for Lesson 4 and then practice writing.
  5. Please click on “Grammar” to learn sentence structures.
  6. Fill in the blanks on pages 33 and 34.
  7. Read phonetics and grammar notes from pages 35 and 36.
  8. Do exercises on pages 6, 7, 8, and 9 from Practical Chinese Reader I: Patterns and Exercises, (PCR I: PE). Since some of the vocabularies in the exercises have not yet been taught, you may do the ones you know.
  9. Read pages 37 and 38 for fun!
