Assignment 2: Elementary Chinese Supplementary Book

  1. Review pronunciation and characters learned from Lesson 1.
  2. Listen to Lesson 2 audio tape and practice texts and drills on pages 9 and 10.
  3. Please click on “Writing” to learn how to write Lesson 2 characters and then practice writing.
  4. Please click “Grammar” to learn sentence structure.
  5. Translate the English sentences on page 11 into Chinese sentences and translate the Chinese sentences on page 11 into English.
  6. Please complete the substitution drill on page 11: substitute the underlined words with the words listed on the right.
  7. Please practice the dialogue on page 12. You may find someone who can speak Chinese to practice the dialogue with you if you can find a friend who can do so.
