Assignment 1: Elementary Chinese Supplementary Book

  1. Review the Chinese phonetics or Pin Yin learned from page 2 and review page 3 for the four Chinese tongs.
  2. Listen to Lesson 1 audio tape and practice pronunciations on page 4 and then practice text and drills on pages 5 to 7.
  3. Please click on “Writing” to learn how to write Lesson 1 characters and then practice writing.
  4. Please click “Grammar” to learn sentence structure.
  5. Translate the English sentences on page 7 into Chinese and then translate the Chinese sentences into English.
