Components that Constitute an Instructional Activity

An instructional activity usually consists of several components, regardless of whether it is online or not. The following explains these components.

  1. Objectives: What will your students learn?
  2. Materials: What are the teaching instruments?
  3. Processes: How will you teach your students?
  4. Assessment: How will you assess your students' learning?

The following graphic shows what these four components would be like for an instructional activity about learning fractions.
