Course Description:

This course is designed to provide pre-service teachers with a working knowledge of instructional technology and the application of technology to the teaching/learning process.

Course Goals:

Define technology and instructional technology and their role in K-8 instruction.
Learn and demonstrate competence in basic skills for emerging software and technology tools in the school environment.
Learn and demonstrate competence in basic skills for traditional software programs used in schools today.
Apply skills to the educational/classroom environment, with emphasis on technology as a curriculum tool, not topic.

Text and Materials:

No text required. Readings will be available online or handed out via the instructor. Portable storage is highly recommended
