Course Description:
This course is designed to provide pre-service teachers with a working knowledge of instructional technology and the application of technology to the teaching/learning process.
Course Goals:
- Define technology and instructional technology and their role in K-8 instruction.
- Learn and demonstrate competence in basic skills for emerging software and technology tools in the school environment.
- Learn and demonstrate competence in basic skills for traditional software programs used in schools today.
- Apply skills to the educational/classroom environment, with
emphasis on technology as a curriculum tool, not topic.
Text and Materials:
No text required. Readings will be available online or handed out via the instructor. Portable storage is highly recommended
