Examine the graphic that Winn provides as the "overview of the processes involved in the perception and comprehension of graphics." How does this diagram utilize perceptual processes that we have reviewed from earlier in the semester readings? For example, consider Goldsmith's model, areas of visual emphasis as outlined by Tversky, Wainer, Tufte, etc. when thinking about perception and data visualization.
