About Professor Gunther
[ Homepage : : Vita ]Jake Gunther is an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering. His research interests include signal processing, statistical signal processing, array processing, adaptive filtering and its applications, independent component analysis, decision theory, estimation theory, and communication theory. He has worked and consulted on projects in the areas of pattern recognition, speech recognition and synthesis, image processing, sonar array processing, and multi-rate signal processing. Recent projects have included echo and feedback cancellation, unmixing and sub-pixel target detection in hyperspectral imagery, data fusion, channel equalization, accelerating iterative decoding of error control codes, and system characterization using spread spectrum signaling.
