Natural Symbols This Wat is commonly called "Golden Mountain." Mountains naturally symbolize ascending to heaven. One can climb the many steps to reach the top of the structure to find a Buddhist shrine and therefore, symbolically ascend to heaven. Wat Phuukhawthong, Ayutthaya, Thailand. |
